Our New Direction

This is my first blog ever so be kind.

I don't know how I felt when I went to bed last night.  It was somewhere between depressed and angry.  Depressed because you can see the failed policies coming and know that there is very little that can be done to stop it, at least for the next two years.  Angry because I couldn't stand to watch the liberals and their buddies in the main stream media gloat about their "savior" being elected.  It kind of makes me wonder whether we as conservatives have lost our ability to make a difference do we still have relevance in a country that looks likes it’s on the verge of moral bankruptcy.

Let’s see what we have to look forward to… Higher taxes, for all; sure I’ve heard we will only raise taxes on those who make more than $250,000, then its $200,000 no wait $150,000. The liberals still haven’t learned the wealthy didn’t become wealthy by being stupid when it comes to taxes or tax law. So a year from now when not enough revenue is being raised from the Obama tax increases we’ll see the level of income subject to tax increases go lower, $100,000, 90,000 how about 50,000? And where is this money going to? Oh yeah, we need to give it those who don’t pay any taxes. Hey that’s not fair, the liberals are buying votes, with my money!

What else? Abortion without any limits and paid for by you and me. Mr. Obama said he has two daughters and wouldn’t want them to be “punished with a baby” if they make a mistake. I have always thought it funny all the talk about being pro-choice; didn’t the person make the choice when they got themselves pregnant? Why do they get to make a second bad choice in which someone dies?

I can’t let everything I say be negative though. The Senate is not filibuster proof. California voted yes to Prop 8. Small victories but at least there are some things to smile about.

Thanks for reading.
